How to withdraw from Polymarket and cash out to your bank

Withdrawing from Polymarket is free: your pUSD becomes USDC and goes to the network you choose. Then you sell it on an exchange for your local currency.

To withdraw from Polymarket, open the withdrawal option, choose the destination network and token, and paste the address of your exchange or wallet. Your pUSD balance is converted to USDC and sent there, with no Polymarket fee. To end up with naira, pesos, rand or any local currency, you then sell that USDC on an exchange.

The essentials

  • Polymarket charges no withdrawal fee. The destination network and the receiving exchange may charge their own.
  • Withdrawals are usually instant. If the Uniswap pool that handles the conversion runs dry, a withdrawal can be delayed or fail: split it or wait.
  • Withdrawals leave in crypto. To reach your bank account you go through an exchange.
  • Always check that the destination network matches the one your exchange accepts.

How Polymarket withdrawal works

Your Polymarket balance is held in pUSD, the platform’s stablecoin on Polygon. When you withdraw, pUSD is swapped for native USDC through a Uniswap v3 pool on Polygon and then sent to the network and token you pick. According to the official withdrawal documentation, destinations include EVM networks, Solana, Bitcoin and Tron. The exact list of networks and tokens is shown on the withdrawal screen.

How to withdraw from Polymarket step by step

  1. Get the destination address. On your exchange, go to deposit USDC, choose the network (Polygon is the most direct) and copy the address.
  2. Open your Portfolio on Polymarket and click Withdraw (official help).
  3. Pick the token and destination network. They must match what you chose on the exchange.
  4. Paste the address and the amount. Check every character before confirming.
  5. Confirm. If the pool has liquidity, the transfer goes out right away; after that it depends only on the network and the exchange.

Before withdrawing, close or sell any positions you want to turn into cash. You can only withdraw your available balance, not the value of an open position.

How to withdraw from Polymarket to Binance

The process is the same for Binance or any local exchange:

  • On Binance, go to Deposit, choose USDC and the Polygon network. Copy the address.
  • On Polymarket, withdraw USDC on Polygon to that address.
  • Once the USDC arrives, sell it for local currency on Binance or move it to another exchange.

With another exchange, such as Luno or VALR in South Africa or Bitso in Mexico, the logic is identical: the network you select on Polymarket must be one that exchange accepts for USDC. Country pages list the usual exchanges for Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, the Philippines and Mexico.

Withdraw from Polymarket to Coinbase or PayPal

Coinbase works like any other exchange: in Coinbase, open the option to receive USDC, check which networks it lists for USDC, pick one that Polymarket also offers and copy that address. Then withdraw USDC from Polymarket on that same network. If the networks do not match, do not send.

PayPal is not a destination. Polymarket’s withdrawal documentation only covers crypto networks and tokens, and PayPal is not among them. If you want the money in PayPal, you would first move USDC to an exchange and use whatever cash-out options that exchange offers in your country.

Polymarket withdrawal fees

Item Who charges
Withdrawal from Polymarket No one: Polymarket charges nothing
Destination network The chosen network (a few cents on Polygon)
Deposit on the exchange Depends on the exchange
Selling USDC for local currency The exchange, through its fee and exchange rate

The biggest cost is usually the currency conversion on the exchange, not the withdrawal itself. For what trading on the platform costs, see Polymarket fees.

How long does a Polymarket withdrawal take?

On Polymarket’s side, withdrawals are instant, according to the official documentation. The time you actually wait comes from the destination network’s confirmations and from how fast your exchange credits the deposit.

The exception is the pUSD-to-USDC conversion, which relies on a Uniswap pool on Polygon. If that pool is depleted at a given moment, the withdrawal can be delayed or fail. The official advice gives two options:

  • Split the withdrawal into smaller amounts.
  • Wait for the pool to refill and try again.

Large withdrawals

For amounts above 50,000 USD, Polymarket recommends splitting the withdrawal or using a third-party bridge.

Withdrawing pUSD without Uniswap

You can also withdraw pUSD directly, without converting it. The catch is that some exchanges do not accept pUSD deposits. If you are not sure your exchange supports it, withdraw USDC.

Polymarket withdrawal to bank account

The withdrawal destinations in Polymarket’s documentation are crypto networks, so the bank step happens on an exchange. Once the USDC is on your exchange:

  1. Sell it for your local currency on the exchange’s market.
  2. Withdraw that currency to your bank account using the exchange’s methods.

Fees, limits and timing at this stage belong to the exchange, not Polymarket. Compare before you pick one.

Common withdrawal mistakes

  • Wrong network. Sending on a network the exchange does not support for that token can lose your funds. Polymarket runs recovery.polymarket.com to try to recover misdirected transfers, with no assurance of success.
  • Sending pUSD to an exchange that does not accept it. Withdraw USDC unless you have confirmed the destination supports pUSD.
  • Mistyping the address. Paste it rather than typing it, and check the first and last characters.
  • Withdrawing everything at once when liquidity is thin. If it fails, split the amount.

Profits you withdraw may also have tax consequences where you live; see our Polymarket taxes guide. If you have not funded your account yet, start with how to deposit on Polymarket.

Frequently asked questions

Does Polymarket charge withdrawal fees?

No. Polymarket charges no withdrawal fee. Any costs come from the destination network and from the exchange where you receive and sell the USDC.

How long does a Polymarket withdrawal take?

Withdrawals are usually instant. They can only be delayed or fail if the Uniswap pool that converts pUSD to USDC is depleted. In that case, split the amount or wait and try again.

Can I withdraw from Polymarket to PayPal or my bank?

Not directly. Polymarket withdrawals leave in crypto. To reach your bank, send USDC to an exchange such as Coinbase or Binance, sell it for local currency and withdraw from the exchange to your account.

What if I withdrew on the wrong network?

Contact the receiving exchange first and try recovery.polymarket.com, Polymarket’s tool for attempting to recover misdirected transfers. Recovery is not assured.
