About MercadoDice

MercadoDice is an independent site that explains prediction markets in Spanish and English. We show the probabilities Polymarket assigns to real events, explain how the platform works and document, country by country, where it is available and where it is blocked.

Who is behind it

MercadoDice was founded and is edited by Matías Mardones, based in Chile. Matías runs the site, reviews every guide before it goes live, keeps the fact sheet that every claim on the site comes from, and updates the country pages when a regulator or Polymarket changes something.

The site grew out of a specific gap: most of what is written about Polymarket is in English and aimed at the United States, where the legal picture is different. Someone in Mexico, Peru, Chile, Nigeria or Spain needs other answers: whether the platform works in their country, how to get from their currency to USDC and back, what it costs and what risks they take on. That is what this site tries to answer, with sources and without selling anything that does not exist.

You can write to Matías directly at hola@mercadodice.com.

What we do not do

We do not run bets, hold money or give investment advice. The probabilities you see are market prices, not recommendations. Our only relationship with Polymarket is its public referral program.

How we are funded

In three declared ways: referral links to Polymarket in the sign-up guides (shown only to visitors from countries where the platform is available), advertising on informational pages and, later, affiliate links to exchanges where you can buy USDC. No income changes what we write: if a platform is blocked in your country, we say so.

Where the data comes from

Probabilities are read from Polymarket's public API and refreshed every few minutes. Every claim about legal availability cites its source: Polymarket's official geoblock list, regulator decisions or reference press. Fees come from Polymarket's official documentation. Each guide shows its publication and update dates.

Corrections

If something changes or you spot a mistake, write to hola@mercadodice.com. We fix the page and update its review date. Changes in a country's legal status show up first on its country page.
