Only one licensed sports betting operator
Sports betting in Paraguay is an exclusive concession. A July 2026 notice from the national gaming commission (Conajzar) says the only authorised operator nationwide is Daruma SAM S.A., trading as Aposta.la, and that anyone else organising or offering sports bets without authorisation is acting unlawfully under Law 7.438/2025 and Law 1.016/1997.
Polymarket runs football markets, but Conajzar has not mentioned Polymarket or prediction markets in general, and has announced no measures. It is something to watch rather than a block.
From guaraníes to USDC
Binance is the usual route. Its P2P section held just four USDC offers in guaraníes at the October 2026 check, paid through Banco Continental, Itaú, Banco Familiar, Banco Atlas, Visión Banco and wallets such as Tigo Money and Billetera Personal. With so few, compare the price against USDT first, which had far more sellers.
The Banco Central del Paraguay has warned that cryptocurrencies are not legal tender, cannot be used to settle debts and have no backing from the state.
